Minis of the past.

Here are some pictures of some old paint jobs I did.

Golden Demon UK

So it's just over two weeks to go until Golden Demon UK and my entries are coming along nicely.

One is fully completed, one just needs some water effect put on the base then it's finished and my last one is on schedule to be complete on time, as long as I don't get any distractions.

I will make sure I post pics of them straight after Golden Demon. For now I don't want to give anything away ;)

Made it onto Games Workshops White Dwarf Daily

Way back in February I made it onto the Games Workshop website on their White Dwarf Daily blog. I had bumped into Dan Harden near the end of 2011 while at Warhammer World and he took some pics of some of the miniatures I had with me.

Here is the link to it : http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/blog.jsp?pid=7900002

Ghorros Warhoof Golden Demon UK 2012 finalist

This was my entry for Golden Demon 2012 in the UK. It got into the finals but unfortunately got broke at his (it's) wrist because I forgot to secure it to my display plinth. :S

Neglected

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything on here mainly due to life getting in the way but I am now going to try and keep this Blog up to date at least once a week if I can.

Please feel free to share my blog with anyone you know.

With the UK Golden Demon on the way in just three weeks I have been heavily concentrating on my entries which of course I'm keeping secret until the day but for now I will show off my miniature which got into the finals last year.

Skaven army

Ok so I seem to have a problem of jumping from project to project at the moment. So while I'm waiting to get my new Hordes and Warmachine bits next weekend I've decided to continue with some Skaven I started a while ago. I always love painting Skaven and I've painted a few characters in past which are shown below. I will keep up to date with how the army comes along.

I really miss both these models but unfortunately I sold them.

Eldar

I've been planning to redo my old Eldar armies so thought I would put up some pics of a few I sold last year.

I miss this Bonesinger but I do have another one which will be the Farseer in my new army.

I'm going to be doing both Eldar and Dark Eldar. Pics of the new armies will follow as I get the models done.

Cryx warband getting there

Okay my two Deathrippers and Defiler are finished so here they are including a group shot with the Slayer. I need to pick up a Warcaster due to losing the head of Deneghra.

Black Legion private commission.

Here's a few of the Black Legion models I finished this week as part of a larger private commission. I will post up a shot of the complete commission tomorrow.

The army was mainly painted to a gaming standard except a few characters which I was asked to spend a bit more time on such as Lucius the Eternal!

Commission freeze

I'm just going to add for now that I am stopping taking on commissions for now. I may and probably will be taking them on again in the future but for now I'm going to be concentrating on my own projects for a while.

The start of my Cryx warband.

It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here but hopefully now I will get the time to start posting more including WIP shots.

I've just started to get into Privateer Press games mainly Warmachine and Hordes and hopefully Iron Kingdoms soon too. I've owned the Cryx starter set for quite a while now and have finally got around to painting it. It is only to gaming standard but I am happy with it.

Here is my finished Cryx Slayer. The rest of the warband will follow as it gets finished.

WIP Blood Angel

I've just started working on this Blood Angel tactical marine. So far he's just had a base coat and shading. I started off with a white undercoat as I wanted the mid tone colour to be Red Gore. This is my 1st showcase model that I've started with a white undercoat. I applied three thin coats of Gore to get a nice solid colour then shaded it with watered down Scab Red at about 1:1 mix with water. To further shade it I mixed Chaos Black with a tiny bit of Scab Red at about a 4:1 ratio. This was applied twice into the recesses at a very watered down consistency.
Once highlighted I will post further pics but 1st I've got to decide weather to use Orange or Khaki to mix with Blood Red!

Unfortunately the picture of the rear of the model has come out very small and I don't know how to increase the size!

Grey Knight Commission. May 2011

I painted this Grey Knight army for Wargames Workshop in Northampton so if you would like to see it in person you can pop down to the shop.
This is painted to gaming standard. At the time of photographing I had not yet painted the bases and unfortunately I didn't take any photos after painting the bases. The Dreadnought is from Fantasy Flight's Dust-tactics.
